UPDATE

Oh hey internet, sorry I haven’t been around lately. I was really thinking (hard) about the kind of blog I want to write. I also got some fitness things that I would like to review and so I needed time to make sure I got the right information about them…Stay tuned, some interesting things are on their way!

Nike Free Runs 5.0

This is my first review, so please keep in mind that I am quite new at this, and I am not the best writer. So Pictured above are the Nike Free Runs. In short my favourite gym shoe. I have tried countless gym shoes between Adidas, New Balance, Rebox and from my experience, and the workout that I do these are by far the best.

Price: 100-130 CAD$

So lets start with the Pros:

1. The arch of the shoe and the support is low to the ground with imitates the feeling of running bare foot. Which makes the shoe super comfortable.

2. The style itself is super sleek and can easily go with any work outfit (because you know how important those are), and they have super fun, different and exciting colours. *see picture above*

3. Training: at the gym, I love using the Jacobs Ladder, (which, in short is a never ending ladder) and weights. The shoes have held up through both cardio and weight training.

4. the laces are thin and can be easily replaced.

5. Super easy to clean

6. Comes with a built in socks which makes forgetting them less stressful.

So now the Cons:

1. rather hard to keep clean, (by clean I mean as new looking as possible)

2. If you are a cross trainer you may need an additional pair, or something with a bit more of a tougher support.

3. They start to smell (like the gym) quite easily.

So in the end, there are more Pros than Cons, which is what makes me say these shoes are the bomb. Besides the colour, and style. The shoes themselves are great for support. If you are a serious trainer and hit the gym as often as I do ( which is usually 5-6 days a week) then you will defiantly be getting worth out of these shoes. If you weight train, and are doing strength training, and need a shoe that will hold up throughout your workout and need something with support but still mimics the feeling of working out bear foot (or nearly there).

In Training for Tough Mudder these are the shoes that I will be using, the dry quick, are comfortable and through away any quick moisture. In the training that I have been doing over the last year and a bit they have lasted me the full year and a half and still feel pretty new. ( I could go get another pair, I want another pair, but they don’t need to be replaced anytime soon)

Please leave your comments and let me know if you found this in any way helpful.

Hello

Hello there, My name is Maddie,

I am 20 years old, and in love with the gym. This  is my journey on how to get fit. I thought there must be a whole bunch of different fitness blogs on here, so I decided to make it a bit different, a bit more personal. Progress photos, meal plans, reviews on fitness products and maybe even trends and what not. Anywho, I won’t keep you for long, I have to hit the gym 😉 have a good day!

I hope you stay for the journey.
